Sub-ordinary

I had hoped that "subordinary" was new territory in paugh descriptors, meaning:

"The only slightly less than ordinary that strives (and fails) to be more or less ordinary than it already is,"

but the dictionary describes it as "One of several heraldic bearings somewhat less common than an ordinary." The dictionary is wrong.

Good examples of subordinary can be found throughout the paughsome.com archives and immediately recognized in everyday life. A good example is, say, a slightly awkward kid that dresses up as a toilet.
